"The Terminator" may be a futuristic battlefield with cheap miniatures, but it's far more entertaining than the blockbuster "T2." The mono soundtrack, originally due to budget constraints, has been remastered for a powerful 5.1ch Surround EX soundtrack. Two behind-the-scenes features are included, including a conversation between Cameron and Schwarzenegger, which is filled with stories about the difficulties of a budget shortage and is impossible to listen to without crying (just kidding). There's even an unbelievable story about Schwarzenegger even carrying luggage on location. Other highlights include previously unreleased scenes and 350 still images. Cameron's masterpiece! James Cameron's second directorial work, "The Terminator," was a huge hit, and it marked the beginning of his career as a master of blockbuster films. For lead actor Arnold Schwarzenegger, it was also his breakthrough as a major action movie star. This sci-fi, violent masterpiece won the Grand Prix at the Avoriaz International Fantastic Film Festival.
In the future, in 2029, humans and cyborgs are at war with each other. The immortal cyborg, the Terminator, arrives in 1984 Los Angeles to eliminate Sarah, the mother who will give birth to John Connor, the leader of the human faction.
The storyline is interesting and the action is fast-paced, keeping you on the edge of your seat until the very end. Schwarzenegger's performance as the cold-hearted Terminator is overwhelming. (Hoshino Tsuzuri)
