Explanation by manufacturer
If you want to start a model train, I recommend Kato's easy and reliable line system “Unitrack”
Kato's line “Unitrack” with a roadbed is a line system that even beginners can enjoy with peace of mind, such as connecting parts (unijoiner) where there is no need to worry about poor conduction and plastic roadbeds that boast excellent stability.
In addition to a rich lineup of electric points, elevated tracks, and double track tracks that can be operated with a switch at hand, it is also possible to easily develop line plans due to its high system performance.
How to connect “Unitrack” tracks
When connecting the rails, connect them by pressing the unijoiner in parallel while meshing them on a flat surface such as a desk.
Once connected securely, it makes a “crackling” sound.
When removing the rail, gently fold it horizontally to remove it.
Do not apply force in the vertical direction as it may cause damage.
When the unijoiner (connecting part of the rail) is broken, only the unijoiner can be replaced.
The unijoiner can be removed by hooking the “unijoiner remover” that also comes with the starter set, etc., and pulling it forward.
The model train takes electricity from the rails via wheels, so be sure to maintain the rails and wheels frequently. The special maintenance liquid “Unicleaner” is recommended.
