Features Mount adapter compatible with 35mm full-size sensors for attaching A-mount lenses to E-mount bodies
Mount adapter compatible with 35mm full-size sensors that can attach an A mount lens (*1) to an E-mount camera body.
Not only is it compatible with image plane phase difference AF (*3) of the E-mount body (*2), it is also possible to shoot with high-performance AF functions if the model is equipped with real-time pupil AF or real-time tracking. You can capture the decisive moment without missing it.
The *1 STF lens is for manual focus only, and is not compatible with teleconverters. *2 The models compatible with image plane phase difference AF with SSM/SAM lenses are α7 II, α7R II, α6300, α6500, α7 III, α7R III, α7R IV, α6100, α6400, α6600, α9, α9 II, α7S III, and α7C. Models that support image plane phase difference AF with lenses without a motor (SSM/SAM) are α7R IV and α6600. *3 Autofocus does not work during movie recording. ※ As of November 30, 2020
※Depending on the lens used, autofocus does not work
Please check the manufacturer's website for compatibility information between the camera and lens.
Compatible with A-mount lenses except teleconverters
Compatible with A-mount lenses, excluding teleconverters, a wide variety of A-mount lenses can be freely attached to E-mount bodies (*). You can enjoy a variety of photographic expressions by utilizing the assets of your A-mount lenses.
* Restricted functions vary depending on the main unit and lens to be attached.
Achieve AF function and high-speed continuous shooting (*2) of the E-mount body (*1) with an A-mount lens (*3)
By combining the E-mount body (*1) with an A-mount lens SSM lens/SAM lens, it is compatible with image plane phase difference AF (*4) with a large AF coverage area. Furthermore, if it is a model equipped with an AF function that utilizes real-time pupil AF (person/animal) or real-time tracking, it is possible to shoot taking advantage of the camera's AF function.
The *1 SSM/SAM lens models compatible with image plane phase difference AF are α7 II, α7R II, α6300, α6500, α7 III, α7R III, α7R IV, α6100, α6400, α6600, α9, α9 II, α7S III, and α7C. Models that support image plane phase difference AF with lenses without a motor (SSM/SAM) are α7R IV and α6600. *2 Models compatible with high-speed continuous shooting are SSM/SAM lenses and are α9, α9 II, α7R IV, and α6600. Lenses without a motor (SSM/SAM) are α7R IV or α6600. The α7R IV requires a software update to Ver. 1.20, and the α6600 requires a software update to Ver. 1.10. The maximum continuous shooting speed is about 10 frames per second for the α9 II, α9, and α7R IV, and the maximum is about 11 frames per second for the α6600. The continuous shooting speed may decrease depending on the lens used and shooting conditions. *3 STF lenses are for manual focus only and are not compatible with teleconverters. *4 Autofocus does not work during movie recording. ※ As of November 30, 2020
The SSM/SAM lens achieves high speed continuous shooting with AF/AE tracking (*1) of maximum approx. 11 frames per second (*2)
In combination with α9 II, α9, α7R IV (*3), and α6600 (*3), high-speed continuous shooting of up to about 11 frames per second (*2) is possible with AF/AE tracking (*1).
In *1 AE tracking, the aperture value is fixed for the first image and the shutter speed or ISO value is followed.
*2 The maximum continuous shooting speed is approximately 10 frames per second for the α9 II, α9, and α7R IV, and the maximum is about 11 frames per second for the α6600. The continuous shooting speed may decrease depending on the lens used and shooting conditions.
The *3 α7R IV requires a software update to Ver. 1.20, and the α6600 requires a software update to Ver. 1.10. ※ As of 2020/9/2
Enables high-speed continuous shooting (*2) using image plane phase difference AF (*1) even with lenses without a motor
In combination with the α7R IV (*3) and α6600 (*3), it is an A-mount lens (*4) that includes unmotorized lenses such as Planar T*85mm F1.4 ZA and Sonnar T*135mm F1.8 ZA, and is compatible with image plane phase difference AF (*1) with a large coverage area of the camera body. Furthermore, while using AF functions that utilize subject recognition such as real-time pupil AF (person/animal) and real-time tracking, high-speed continuous shooting at a maximum of about 11 frames per second (*2) is possible with AF/AE tracking (*5).
*1 Autofocus does not work during movie recording.
*2 The maximum continuous shooting speed is approximately 10 frames per second for the α7R IV, and the maximum is about 11 frames per second for the α6600. The continuous shooting speed may decrease depending on the lens used and shooting conditions.
The *3 α7R IV requires a software update to Ver. 1.20, and the α6600 requires a software update to Ver. 1.10. On models other than the α7R IV and α6600, the operation is equivalent to the LA-EA3, and updates are undecided.
The *4 STF lens is for manual focus only, and is not compatible with teleconverters.
In *5 AE tracking, the aperture value is fixed for the first image and the shutter speed or ISO value is followed. ※ As of 2020/9/2
Compact, cylindrical shape for comfortable operation
Equipped with a small AF drive unit, the functions of a mount adapter are condensed into a simple cylindrical shape, including an aperture drive unit. By keeping the same diameter as the A mount, there are no protrusions at the bottom of the mount even when attached to a small E-mount body, and excellent holdability is achieved. Also, it can be operated comfortably when wearing the full-size E-mount body's vertical grip.
