How to use 1 [How to attach a knife]
1] Insert the blade into the sharpener
Lightly tighten the blade holding screw while aligning the sharpened surface of the knife horizontally with the grinding stone (to the extent that the blade does not fall off).
2] Check if there are any gaps
Turn the sharpener upside down, ground the ruler to the sharpening surface of the blade and the roller, and check if there are any gaps. If it does not fit, loosen the blade holder screw slightly and adjust by sliding the blade back and forth so that there is no gap.
3] Adjust so that there is no gap between the center and both ends
Place the ruler on the center and both ends of the sharpening surface of the knife and adjust until there are no gaps between them.
How to use 2 [How to adjust] Once the blade is attached, sharpen it a few times with a rough whetstone to check the sharpened surface of the blade
When sharpening marks appear on either the left or right side of the sharpening surface
There is a possibility that the knife is leaning either on the left or right. If there are many sharpening marks on the left, move the plane blade to the right. If there are many on the right, move the plane blade to the left.
When the sharpening surface has uneven sharpening marks on either the tip or the root
If there are many sharpening marks on the blade, insert the blade slightly deeper. If there are many sharpening marks on the root, pull the cutting edge slightly to adjust.
Tighten the screw tightly after the adjustment is complete
After adjusting , sharpen a few times and when sharpening marks appear on the entire sharpening surface or center, tighten the blade holder screw strongly.
How to use
How to sharpen
Hold the sharpener handle lightly with both hands, place your thumb and index finger on the main body as shown in the image, and sharpen by pushing them out with both hands. When pulling, remove the force and use the entire surface of the whetstone to sharpen. From time to time, the front and back of the whetstone is replaced to make the weight of the whetstone even.
How to sharpen
Sharpen in the order of rough sharpening → medium sharpening → finishing sharpening. Select the process to start depending on the state of the blade.
Key points for sharpening (only)
In the case of the blade, a certain amount of pressing force is required since the blade width is wide, but in the case of only one, the blade width is narrow, so not much force is required. If you sharpen slowly, you can sharpen well without applying as much force as a particularly thin chisel.
