The 2-door hardtop version of the third-generation Skyline, commonly known as "Hakosuka," was introduced in the fall of 1970, two years after its debut in 1 968. The wheelbase was shortened by 70mm compared to the preceding 4-door sedan, which was said to enhance cornering performance during races and also contributed significantly to its styling. The long-nose 2000GT variant helped elevate the overall image of the Skyline, and sales continued to rise due to the "Love Skyline" advertising campaign. This model features the 1971 version of the 2000GT, representing the early type. It is available in two colors: silver, which symbolizes the Hakosuka, and lavender metallic, known as a rare color.
