This is a set of three ultra-fine brushes made with artificial Kolinsky bristles that replicate the characteristics of real Kolinsky bristles.
Kolinsky bristles, popular worldwide for brush bristles, have seen a drastic decline in population due to climate change and overfishing. In 2020, the Kolinsky bristles (Siberian weasel) were registered as an endangered species in Japan. Therefore, from the perspective of SDG No. 15-5, we developed this brush set using artificial Kolinsky bristles.
Key Features: ① Elasticity of the bristles (firmness), ② How the bristles stay together, and ③ Paint retention. We developed and use synthetic fibers that are equivalent to Kolinsky bristles.
Chemical resistance has also been confirmed, making these brushes suitable for a variety of applications, including model painting, watercolor painting, oil painting, nail art, lure making, and rice grain art.
