The EMU3000 is the latest express train of the Taiwan Railways Administration (TRA). As the TRA's flagship train, a total of 600 units are planned to be put into service. It began operation at the end of 2021 to replace older rolling stock on the Tze-Chiang Limited Express (equivalent to Japan's limited express trains), the Kyo-Kuang Express (equivalent to Japan's express trains), and diesel multiple units on the electrified South Link Line. Since 2019, Taiwan Railways Administration (TRA) has been refreshing its stations and trains based on the concept of "TRA Aesthetic Revival (FUTURE RENAISSANCE)." The EMU3000 also follows this philosophy, with the motto "Let's create an express train that the world can be proud of," and features a modern design with a simple monochrome base and accent colors above the doors. In order to increase the transport capacity of conventional trains, the train consists of 12 cars with 20m-long bodies, and car number 6 is a business class car (Tengyun Za Cang) equivalent to Japan's Green Car. ●Basic set: Powered ●Add-on set: Not powered ●1/150 scale, realistically reproduces the speedy front shape and the monochrome body that harmonizes with the scenery ●Reproduces the logo marks on the front and sides, as well as markings such as the business car "Tengyun Za Cang" mark. ●Reproduces the pantograph area and the linearly shaped equipment on the roof, which are characteristic of AC electric trains. ●Products are available in two sets, each featuring the accent colors "red" and "green". ●Headlights and taillights illuminate (using white LEDs). The headlights are reproduced in a fully illuminated state. ●Uses a slotless motor for smooth and quiet running. ●All coupling parts are equipped with body-mounted KATO coupler close-coupling type (with hooks) as standard. ●The book-type vehicle case can store the contents of the basic set and add-on set in the order of car 1 to car 12.
