The ink becomes transparent when rubbed. These are replacement refills for the "Frixion series." They use a unique "Frixion ink" that disappears when it reaches a certain temperature. When you rub the writing with the special eraser, the friction heat generated makes the ink colorless and transparent. No eraser residue is left behind. Because the ink becomes colorless by utilizing temperature changes, no eraser residue is left behind. Even writing that has seeped into the paper fibers can be erased cleanly, leaving almost no residue. You can write and erase as many times as you like.
