Product Description
[Regular Edition]
Shiina Ringo releases a new album.
This album employs the "forbidden technique" of not including her own compositions. It's a rare find, containing only guest appearances on other artists' works and collaborative tracks with other producers.
This is a sequel to "Ukiyo" (a collaboration best album) released in 2013 with the same concept.
The jacket design and artwork, like the previous album, were specially created for this work by Akira Uno, a leading Japanese illustrator and graphic designer.
Media Reviews and More
Shiina Ringo, a rare composer/director who is entering her 27th year in the industry and reaching a state of increasing maturity, will release her new album "Kinji-te" (Forbidden Technique) on March 11th, 2026 (Wednesday). This album employs the "forbidden technique" of not including her own compositions, as reflected in the title. It's a rare find, containing only guest appearances on other artists' works and collaborative tracks with other producers. This album follows in the footsteps of the 2013 release "Ukiyo" (a collaboration best-of album). As with its predecessor, the artwork, specially commissioned by Japan's renowned master artist Akira Uno, is a highlight. In addition to previously released tracks created through collaborations with Kazuha Izawa, millennium parade, and Miliyah Kato, this album features 11 tracks in total, including new collaborations with Hidetoshi Mukai, BIGYUKI, Jun Miyake, and Hiromasa Izuchi.
