ZigBee Ecosystem
ZigBee is a wireless communication system designed min. for supporting networks of smart home devices.
ZigBee differs from classic Wi-Fi in its extremely low energy consumption, which ensures a long operating time for battery-powered smart home components.
Additionally, ZigBee ecosystem components powered by 230V become so-called. repeaterem. This means that if a battery-powered device cannot connect directly to the gateway (e.g.. due to the excessive distance), communicates with it precisely via the nearest repeater.
This allows for the creation of extensive networks, covering much greater distances than would be possible using classic Wi-Fi.
