The World of Shirow Masamune Exhibition Official Original Art Collection: SHIROW MASAMUNE ARTWORKS IN THE SHELL

"Black Magic," an early collection of works depicting a world where the colossal computer "Nemesis" holds political power. "Appleseed," a sci-fi action story depicting the lives of SWAT officer Deunan and the full-body cyborg Briareos in a ruined city after the Fifth World War. "Dominion," a comical depiction of Leona, a member of the "Police Tank Corps," and her beloved miniature tank Bonaparte, battling the villainous Buaku gang. "Ghost in the Shell," depicting the battles of "Public Security Section 9," an offensive organization directly under the Prime Minister. "Orion," a fantasy work in which ancient sorcerers and summoned gods clash over the "Nine-Headed Dragon of Immortal Magic."

"The World of Masamune Shirow Exhibition," Shirow's first large-scale exhibition, traces his diverse body of work and current activities through "analog manuscripts" and "digital output manuscripts." This is a collection of original drawings exceeding 300 pages, carefully selected from the author's early works, "Black Magic," prepared specifically for this exhibition, as well as works from "Ghost in the Shell," and illustrations from games and magazines.
