[ALPS 10KΩ Potentiometer] – This OEM side trim potentiometer is made by ALPS. It is widely compatible with wireless controllers that have ALPS joysticks inside, including PS3, PS4 DualShock 4 series (PS4, Slim, Pro), Xbox One series (Xbox One, One S | X), Elite series 1 and 2, and Xbox Series S | X. It is also compatible with Nintendo Switch Pro and third-party controllers such as [Scuf] and [Razer Raiju Ultimate]. [Compatibility] – This 10K ALPS version is not compatible with the orange version made by Favor Union (FU). Also, ALPS potentiometers have two different resistance values. Do not judge its value by its color. Please confirm the resistance value is 10K ohms before ordering. (Note: For PS5 DualSense and some rare PS4 controllers, please select the 2.1KΩ version.) [Additional Resistors] – Due to the complex movement mechanism and everyday wear, drift eventually occurred. Calibration in the controller settings may not work. To address potential hardware-level issues, we packed in 10 compensation resistors. Solder one or two small resistors in parallel to the potentiometer in the opposite direction to the drift. This helps correct drift of 3-5 degrees. See instructional photos. [For most joystick problems] – If your controller has creep, stutter, blind spots, dead spots, or dead zone issues, you need to replace the 3-pin trimmer potentiometer sensor. It's much easier to desolder the unit with just the 3 pins than to replace the entire module with 14 prongs. [Replacement Reminder] – Make sure you have basic soldering skills and desoldering tools such as an electronic soldering iron and small solder. Use pliers to separate the faulty sensor from the thumbstick component. A metal pick will help clear the holes in the PCB. Resoldering the new unit is easy. Don't forget to adjust the new control stick in the settings.
