■EVANS UV1

UV1 is the result of years of research, experimentation, and development. Designed to significantly enhance versatility and durability, this drum head incorporates D’Addario's latest innovations, including the recently patented UV curing coating technology, new film, and LEVEL360 Technology.

This UV coating is distinct from other common coatings and offers overwhelming durability, providing a solution for drummers troubled by chipping, peeling, or wear of coatings.

In terms of sound, it is similar to G1 but features a thinner, more uniform coating that produces an open tone. It offers particularly high response and increased delicacy in brush playing.

Additionally, the coating is applied only to the flat surface of the head, excluding the bearing edge and hoop areas where the color is applied, allowing the head to vibrate freely without hindrance.

The new film has a warm tone character, with resistance to dents and stretch. Created through the fusion of UV coating and LEVEL360 Technology, the UV1 is likely to be the most versatile and durable drum head among existing 10mil heads.
