Joe Hisaishi's second album with Deutsche Grammophon is a collection of classical works focusing on his refined technique and sensibility as a classical composer and conductor.

"Symphony No. 2," which premiered in Kyoto in 2021, was recorded for the first time in the world with the Vienna Symphony Orchestra conducted by Hisaishi himself at the Vienna Musikverein. Also a world premiere recording is "Viola Saga," featuring renowned viola soloist Antoine Tamestit. This is the lead track of the album and has been highly acclaimed since its Japanese premiere in 2022.
