How do I mount the doorbell on a fence or building wall? Due to the variety of models, the transmitter can be attached using the included double-sided tape or screws. We include special double-sided tape with every model we offer, and for models with the screw-mount option, we also supply screws. Is it necessary to connect additional buttons or receivers to the existing system after purchasing them? Yes, you need to pair the additional button or receiver with your current system by following the included instructions. Will battery life make locating and purchasing a replacement difficult? For battery-powered models, replacing the battery is usually necessary every 2-3 years, depending on use. Transmitters are typically powered by 23A 12V or CR2032 batteries, which are inexpensive and readily available. A transmitter is a button that sends a signal to the receiver/plug and causes it to make a sound. Can I turn off the doorbell if my baby is sleeping or I don't want to be disturbed? Yes, all models have a volume control, and each ringtone can be muted using the button on the side of the receiver. Is the backlight on the button on some models always on? The backlight only turns on when you press the transmitter button. There are no wireless doorbell models with constant backlighting available on the market due to their battery operation, which would require frequent battery replacement.
