As a type of semi-fermented blue tea, the leaves undergo fermentation through oxidation enzymes, are then roasted to stop fermentation, and go through a process called "rounian," where the leaves are rolled. The tea leaves have a distinctive rounded shape due to the strong rolling process! They are characterized by a black surface with a glossy sheen. It contains a high amount of catechins and is commonly consumed after meals in China.
