■Product description■
This time, we used Tokiya Kusamoto Panama from Ecuador as the base, and imported the material for a wickerwork (Ajiro) knitted Panama hat that was handmade by skilled craftsmen.
The molding and attachments were then done at a factory specializing in hats in Japan.
As for the lining, we used a shiny thin gold polyester satin that is used on high-end hats for the inside of the hat.
The "PABLO VINCI" logo is silk printed on the ceiling.
・About the shape of the hat
The shape we used this time was created based on the most basic shape of what is called a folded hat.
The characteristic feature of a folded hat is that it has a knob on the front and a valley-like depression in the ceiling, but this time, based on that shape, we hand-finished the front knob and added a strong knob, and we also added a convex to the top of the hat to prevent the top of the hat from hitting the depression in the ceiling, giving it a sense of stability when worn.
The width of the brim is 6.5cm and is finished flat.
A thin glue that is not too hard is used throughout.
・About slippage
The hat I used this time is made from genuine cowhide leather.
The "PABLO VINCI" logo is printed in gold foil.
・About decorations
Hats usually have simple decorations wrapped with plain grosgrain tape, but this time we designed elaborate wrappings using various heritage-style materials.
Using a thin beaded chain
Since it is made of brass, you can enjoy the change over time.
A 100% cotton US Army USED laundry bag was disassembled and made into a waistband.
I still use a torn HAV-A-HANK bandana that is made in the USA.
A metal concho is threaded through a 3mm deer string, and the end of the string is finished with glass beads for a native look.
・About laundry
Due to the nature of the hat, this hat cannot be washed.
