This is a pure silk fukusa (Sahoji style). It is vermilion in color, size 8, approximately 28.5cm x 27.5cm.

This is a pure silk fukusa (Sahoji style). Gosen (Niigata Prefecture), which has flourished as a silk weaving center since the mid-Edo period (Tenmei era), is considered one of Japan's three major silk production areas, along with Tango in Kyoto and Nagahama in Shiga.

For women. 100% silk (pure silk), size 8 (vermilion). Mainly for use by the Omotesenke school of tea ceremony (recently also used by members of the Urasenke school). Dimensions: Approximately 28.5cm x 27.5cm. Originally, fukusa are not square.
