The Player II Mustang exudes Fender's timeless appeal while being designed for modern players. It features a modern "C" shape neck with a silky satin urethane finish on the back, and a 9.5-inch radius slab rosewood or maple fingerboard with carefully rolled edges and 22 medium jumbo frets, providing comfortable playability along the entire neck.
Made with a classic tonewood, the alder body of the Player II Mustang is available in a wide range of colors, including traditional Fender finishes and new finishes introduced for the first time in this series, sourced from Fender's color archive. The Player Series Alnico V Single-Coil Mustang pickups deliver crystal-clear highs, musical midrange, and tight lows. A 3-way toggle switch allows for a variety of sounds, from the pure, clear tone of the neck pickup to the punchy, crunchy tone of the bridge pickup. The guitar is equipped with a 6-saddle bent steel saddle hardtail bridge and ClassicGear™ tuning machines, ensuring tuning stability and offering endless sound possibilities.
