The BOYA BY-CM5 is a USB condenser microphone that provides high-quality sound for all recording applications, including podcasting, live streaming, home studio recording, and video conferencing.
It features switchable cardioid and omnidirectional polar patterns. The touch-activated controls allow users to easily switch between the cardioid and omnidirectional modes. The cardioid setting helps eliminate off-axis noise and minimizes room tone when speaking directly into the microphone. The omnidirectional pattern captures sound from the entire capsule, making it ideal for interviews and video conferences with multiple voices.
The microphone comes with both USB-A and USB-C cables, allowing for immediate use by simply plugging in. The BY-CM5 is compatible with most Android devices, tablets with USB-C connectors, PCs, and Mac/Windows computers.
The desktop USB microphone features a multifunctional knob that controls all recording functions. Three color indicator lights—blue, purple, and red—indicate volume, gain, and mute status respectively.
It also includes a 3.5mm headphone jack for monitoring with zero latency, enabling users to check and adjust recording audio instantly. Simply connect headphones to the microphone’s 3.5mm jack to hear broadcast-quality audio.
