This connector is used when connecting the D6, D5, D4S, and D4 cameras to the AC adapters EH-6b, EH-6a, and EH-6.

The Nikon EP-6 Power Connector allows compatible Nikon professional DSLR cameras to be powered by a continuous AC power source instead of relying on the internal rechargeable battery. It's designed for use with the EH-6, EH-6a, or EH-6b AC Adapter (sold separately), inserting into the camera's battery chamber in place of the standard battery.

This connector is particularly valuable for studio photography, extended video recording, time-lapse sequences, and any long shooting session where continuous, uninterrupted power is essential and battery swapping would be impractical.
