Frequent washing with hot water or strong detergents, or drying under direct strong sunlight for many hours, may also cause gradual fading over time. In addition, heavy buildup of dust or body oils that are left unwashed can weaken the fibers and affect the fabric’s long‑term performance.

To keep your blanket looking its best, wash it in cold water on a gentle cycle and air dry away from direct sunlight. If you have pets with sharp claws, we recommend keeping their nails trimmed or using the blanket primarily as a decorative piece.

This blanket is highly durable, but it is not indestructible. We describe it as anti‑pilling and anti‑fading for normal use — not “never pills or fades forever.” This honest approach helps you avoid disappointment and take the best care of your blanket.

We strongly recommend allowing the blanket to ""breathe"" for a few hours before using it for the first time. The slight ""fabric crease"" from compression will naturally smooth out after a day of use or a gentle low-heat iron.
