Product Description

The hull is split into two parts. The internal support structure ensures stable assembly. The flight deck, which features blast vent openings, is also precisely reproduced. The main gun turrets, anti-aircraft gun shields, and torpedo launcher shields are molded as integrated parts using slide molds for high precision. The gun barrel tips are recreated with slide molds to depict the gun mouths. The complex steam exhaust pipes around the funnels are accurately molded as separate parts. The bridge windows, aircraft windshields, and searchlights use clear parts. Movable parts include the rudder, main guns (rotation and elevation), 6-meter rangefinder, machine gun firing devices, 8cm twin high-angle guns (rotation and elevation), torpedo tubes, catapults, and Type 94 AA guns. The high-angle gun barrels can be moved vertically. The aircraft included are two Mitsubishi F1M2 Pete float reconnaissance planes. The canopy is a separate clear part. The display stand has been improved from the Akagi's design, featuring pins that protrude from the stand to securely attach to the hull.
