How to prepare coffee in a Tchibo French Press?
- Remove the plunger and filter from the jug.
- Pour one heaping teaspoon of coarsely ground coffee beans into the vessel for each cup you want – for example, if you're making three cups, add three teaspoons. - Pour hot water over the coffee (125 ml per drink). Be sure to leave at least 2.5 cm of space at the top of the container.
- Stir the contents with a plastic or wooden spoon.
- Insert the plunger filter assembly inside and, by turning the lid, close the spout to allow the drink to brew.
- Only after about 4 minutes should you slowly lower the filter down. During this time, for safety, turn the jug spout away from you and hold the jug handle firmly.
- Once the spout is open, you can pour the coffee into cups.
