However, it turns out to be an intricately crafted counterfeit bill known as the "Goat Bill." The two pursue this mystery and infiltrate the small European country rumored to be the source of the counterfeit, "Cagliostro." On the way to the castle, Lupin encounters a girl in a wedding dress speeding in a car. She is being chased by men in black. Although they fend off the pursuers, Lupin is unable to prevent another group from abducting her. She is, in fact, the last princess of the ruling family, Clarisse. The principality of Cagliostro lost its duke seven years ago, and without a ruler, the country is under the control of Count Cagliostro. If the rightful heir, Clarisse, is forced to marry the Count, the country will legally fall into his hands. As the day of the political marriage approaches, Inspector Zenigata, Goemon Ishikawa, and Fujiko Mine gather at the impregnable Cagliostro Castle to chase the mystery of the counterfeit bills. Will Lupin be able to rescue Clarisse and protect the principality from the Count?
