KATO N Gauge EF61 Model Railway Electric 3093-1 Locomotive, Blue.

The EF61 is a DC electric locomotive for passenger use that was completed in 1961. Its most distinctive feature is its longer body length compared to the EF60 and EF65, due to the inclusion of a steam generator (SG) for heating and water and fuel tanks. They are famous for operating freight trains in double-headed configurations with EF61 locomotives or with EF58 locomotives. Initially, it was to pull express trains on the Tokaido and Sanyo Main Lines and 20-series sleeper express trains, but it was later repainted in the standard blue No. 15 livery for new-generation DC locomotives. Primarily for hauling baggage and freight trains on the Sanyo Main Line, it was a key supporting player that underpinned transportation on the Tokaido and Sanyo Main Lines during the Japanese National Railways era. It is ideal as a locomotive for the 10-899/1724 Mail and Baggage Train "Tokaido/Sanyo" 6-car set A/B, which is scheduled to be released around the same time. Furthermore, when combined with EF65-hauled Blue Trains or 117 series Special Rapid Service trains, you can recreate scenes of the Sanyo Main Line in its heyday.
