The chronograph seconds hand is normally stopped at the 12 o'clock position, making it a central chronograph. The movement is an EPSON YM12, and it uses an SR927SW battery with a catalog life of approximately 5 years. The hour and minute hands and hour markers on the face have a brushed finish rather than polishing, a finish rarely seen in existing watches. Both the button on the right side of the case and the crown are screw-down, preventing water ingress even under 20 ATM water pressure. It also features a tachymeter bezel that allows for instantaneous measurement of speed using the position of the hand pointing to the engraved slide rule, and the contrast between the brushed stainless steel and the bezel, along with the case and bracelet, is beautifully finished.
