CAT7 cables are even faster network cables than CAT6a. They enable convenient and reliable connection of one network device, such as a switch, modem, or router, to another or to the entire infrastructure via a patch panel, keystone jack, or wall jack.
This cable is also frequently used in small office and home networking and entertainment applications. The cables are tested up to 600 MHz (CAT7 standard), but are manufactured with CAT6a connectors, which meet the minimum standard up to 500 MHz and are backward compatible with CAT6a, CAT6, CAT5e, and CAT5 cables.
Furthermore, this cable is manufactured with shielding, which protects against EMI (electromagnetic interference). Electromagnetic interference can cause crosstalk between circuits, causing data degradation, increased errors, and slower transmission speeds.
However, using this shielded cable will avoid this problem.
