Both XY and AB methods

Two microphones with nearly identical sensitivity in both 100Hz and 1kHz frequency bands are selected. By combining two microphones with matching characteristics, ideal stereo recording is achieved. The XY method, in which two microphones are placed crosswise, produces a three-dimensional stereo sound image with natural depth and spread, while the AB method, in which two microphones are placed outward, produces a wider stereo sound image.

Ideal for field recording

The sturdy metal body is used, and a windscreen to suppress wind noise and a carrying pouch for easy portability are also included.
