Sviatoslav Richter, renowned as the greatest pianist of the 20th century. 31 titles from the catalog released in 2015 to commemorate his 100th birthday have been re-released in high-quality UHQCD format. Featuring a wealth of masterpieces, including the "Sofia Recital," a recording of Richter's European debut concert in Sofia, Bulgaria, on February 25, 1958, Beethoven's "Piano Sonatas," J.S. Bach, Mozart, and Rachmaninoff.

Richter (March 20, 1915 - August 1, 1997) was hailed as the greatest pianist of the 20th century. This pairing features three two-movement sonatas and the Appassionata Sonata, a significant work for Richter, who said, "This is the last piece in the program, and I can't imagine an encore after this." The first and third movements of the Appassionata are dynamically constructed to evoke stormy passion, while the second movement evokes a clear, peaceful lyricism.
