Product Introduction
IBG "1/72 Japanese Type 95 Ha-type Light Tank (Equipped with Turret Antenna)" plastic model kit.
The Type 95 was a main battle tank adopted in 1935.
The "Ha-type" is a codename given in order of development, indicating the third tank developed in alphabetical order.
By the 1930s, the Type 89's slow speed caused complaints about its pursuit capabilities. Furthermore, its gun was a low-velocity gun designed for infantry support, insufficient for anti-tank use.
It also had to be inexpensive, as a certain number of tanks were considered necessary.
At the height of its popularity at the time, armor was deemed sufficient to withstand machine-gun fire, so a maximum of 12mm was set.
Once production began, it was deployed on all fronts and performed well as a mainstay of the Japanese military, despite the challenges.
While initially not equipped with a radio, vehicles were later produced equipped with an antenna similar to that of the Chi-Ha.
