Das Werk "1/35 German Army Panzer VI Ausf. B, Tiger II, Sd.Kfz. 182, 505th Tank Battalion" plastic model kit.
The 505th Heavy Tank Battalion was a heavy tank battalion directly under the command of the German Army during World War II.
Formed in late January 1943, it participated in Operation Citadel in July of that year as part of the 9th Army.
In July 1944, it temporarily returned to the United States to be equipped with Tiger IIs, and was deployed to Poland in September after receiving them.
In February 1945, it was deployed in the attack to relieve the besieged city of Königsberg in East Prussia, but surrendered to the Soviet Army in April of the same year.
Some of the unit's vehicles were decorated with the insignia of a charging knight with a spear.
