This trombone has the same rim and cup as the smaller bore 6 1/2A, but features a larger throat and backbore for bass trombone, producing a rich, full, and powerful sound.

BACH MP ARTISAN BASS TRB 6 1/2A The Artisan model's shape, sound, and response are reminiscent of early Bach mouthpieces. Modeled after those from the 1940s and 1950s, it features a specially selected throat and backbore. It has the same rim and cup as the 6 1/2A narrow-bore trombone, but the larger throat and backbore for a bass trombone produce a rich, well-balanced, and powerful sound.
