Pit Road 1/350 JB Series Japan Maritime Force Submarine SS-573 Yushio Plastic Model JB36
The “Yushio” type is an expansion/improvement of the “Uzushio” type, which became the Japan Maritime Force's first teardrop-type/single-axis propulsion submarine, and the first ship “Yushio” was commissioned in 1976.
The main class extends the hull by 4 meters from the prequel “Uzushio” type to be compatible with various equipment that is being developed, and in addition to improving underwater sustainability through increased safe diving depth and improved storage batteries, enemy detection capability has also been improved with Kaiji's first digital passive sonar ZQQ-4.
Also, it is possible to launch a harpoons anti-ship missile from a torpedo launch tube, and in addition to being equipped with a masker sound insulation device to reduce underwater radiation noise, quietness has also been improved by adopting a low-rotation 5-shot skew screw propeller.
