Fine Molds 1/48 Imperial Japanese Navy Zero Fighter Type 52 (Mitsubishi, Mid-Model) Plastic Model FZ01. The Zero Fighter, the most produced aircraft in Japanese aviation history and synonymous with wartime aircraft, is now available in a completely new mold. The Zero Fighter was developed as a carrier-based fighter for the Imperial Japanese Navy to operate from aircraft carriers. From its appearance in the Sino-Japanese War through the early stages of the war, it demonstrated unparalleled strength, so much so that it was later called the "Zero Fighter Myth." Since the first mass-produced model, the Model 11, continued to undergo successive improvements, with the Model 52 being roughly the fifth type. It features rounded wingtips, a design characteristic of the Model 32, which had shortened its wings to increase speed. The Model 52, produced by Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, is further divided into early, mid-, and late models. The Mitsubishi mid-model model we are modeling here recreates the aircraft's appearance shortly after the switch to a single thrust-type exhaust pipe, before heat-resistant panels were installed on the fuselage where each exhaust pipe was located. Unlike conventional aircraft plastic model kits, which separate the fuselage into left and right sections and glue them together, this model instead features a large front and rear fuselage, similar to the actual aircraft, with the rear fuselage molded as a single piece using a slide mold. Furthermore, the canopy features separate glass and window frames, incorporating unusual part divisions and assembly methods to enhance the enjoyment of building, creating a new Zero fighter plastic model unique to the Reiwa era. *This product requires assembly and painting. *Separate adhesives, tools, paints, etc. are required for assembly and painting. *"Plastic Model" is a registered trademark of the Japan Plastic Model Industrial Cooperative. *This product does not include adhesives, paints, tools, batteries, etc.
