Product description
Pit Road 1/700 Skywave Series Japan Maritime Force Destroyer DDG-171 Hatakaze Training Ship Model with Ship Number Decal J86SP
The DDG-171 “Hatakaze” is a 3rd generation missile escort ship of the Japan Maritime Force that was completed in 1986/3.
It is characterized by the fact that Mk.13 missile launchers placed at the rear up to the prequel “Tachikaze” type are moved to the bow and equipped with a bullwork that protects them from waves.
Helicopters can be operated on the rear deck, and anti-submarine warfare capabilities have also been enhanced.
It was active on the front line until the Aegis ship “Maya” entered service in March 2020, and then the type was changed to a training ship (TV-3520).
I joined the 1st training team at Kure base, and after participating in domestic and international practice cruises, I was expelled in 2025/3.
