■Haunting Mids

Haunting Mids is a sweepable mid-range EQ preamp that delivers remarkably effective results, transforming any amplifier or pedal into a monster sound that can send shivers down your spine. It features a function to adjust the midrange (Mids) to boost or scoop, allowing you to find the tone that matches your creativity.

The controls on Haunting Mids include Volume, Mids, Sweep, and a Lo/Hi switch. The Volume control is a standard knob for adjusting volume or boosting the signal. The Mids and Sweep controls are closely related, allowing you to optimize the midrange frequency for boosting or scooping. When the Mids knob is set to 12 o'clock, the frequency band is unaffected. Turning it left from 12 o'clock scoops the midrange, while turning right boosts it. The Sweep knob controls the frequency band to be boosted or scooped; turning left affects the low mids, and turning right affects the high mids. The Lo/Hi switch functions similarly to controlling the Q factor, sharpening the peak of the frequency affected by the Mids knob. "Lo" provides a soft, broad peak with smooth effects when adjusting Mids/Sweep, while "Hi" produces a sharp, narrow peak with very clear and pronounced effects.

This pedal is excellent for adding a midrange tube drive to an already broken-up amp sound, or for adjusting various situations such as gentle blues riffs, rock riffs, or lead solos with an overly scooped distortion sound, providing an outstanding bite. It is also great for fine-tuning amps or pedals with prominent midrange characteristics.
