The third installment in the popular sci-fi action series. Having witnessed the world's demise on Judgment Day and the death of his mother, Sarah, the grown-up John Connor (Nick Stahl) lives a quiet life, avoiding contact with the outside world as much as possible. However, two more Terminators appear. The female T-X, for some reason, targets not John, but his classmate Kate (Claire Danes) and other humans. Then the T-850 (Arnold Schwarzenegger) warns John that "Judgment Day is just being delayed, it will definitely come..."
Direction has been passed from James Cameron to Jonathan Mostow, and his characteristic tenacious direction brilliantly constructs a dynamic drama. The aim to recapture the simple feel of the first film is typical of Mostow, who is a fan of the series himself. Furthermore, the unexpected ending, which will shock fans of the previous films, suggests that the first chapter of this series has concluded and that a new development is about to begin. A delightful film that makes you want to see the fourth installment. (Yasushi Matada)
